Burial Story
Private Ballard was born in Bristol, the son of Harold and Gladys (nee Davis) Ballard. He had been a milk roundsman at Pucklechurch (between Bristol and Bath in Gloucestershire) and had attended Staple Hill school. He had reportedly volunteered for Korea while doing his National Service in Austria. He died from wounds incurred during the Battle of Imjin 22nd-25th April 1951.
