UNMCK - UNITED NATIONS MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN KOREA

Hello, I'm Do Hyeon Kim, living in south Korea. I'm 18 years old and I'm high school student. Nowadays the world is in great concern because of corona-virus. I think you too will be concerned about it. In Korea, many people is suffering from it, too. Many doctors and nurses are trying very hard to cure the patients. All students including me, are not going to school, and many people are working in their home. Maybe school will not start until it ends. I really want to go to school, see teachers and friends. Most of my friends are willing to go to school, too. We are not sure when this circumstance will end, so we are just waiting for it to end:( Everyday we have to wear masks, wash our hands thoroughly, and make sure to keep one's distance with others. We cannot go to picnic or play with friends. The main street is empty, and we cannot find people in amusement park or zoo. We cannot go out to see beautiful flowers and feel spring. I think everything has stopped. It's very boring and uncomfortable. Also, everyday we have to concern about corona-virus and be aware of it. I wash my hands very often, wear masks everyday and try to keep distances with my friends. Many people are doing the same way. I think the most hard working people are doctors, nurses ,and public officers. They are trying hard to cure patients and prevent corona- virus. It's very thankful for them that they step forward to protect citizens. Like as you worked hard to protect korea, now we are following your spirit. We will protect korea, because many brave people like you, sacrificed themselves to protect korea. We will remember your braveness and achievements. Through this incident, I have learned many things. First, I learned that every day life, ordinary life is very precious. I recognized that learning at school, playing with friends and having comfortable life is very important to us. Second, I learned many people are working hard to protect Korea from corona-virus. I was very touched about doctors and nurses sacrifice. I wish they could handle this circumstance with out getting any harms. Lastly, I learned that the most important thing is our support and cheering. I think warm heart can get through anything. I ensure that Corona-virus will be overcome by us. Thanks to you, we could live in safe Korea. If you hadn't fought for Korea, Korea wouldn't exist, and we couldn't have enjoyed happy life. Now that happy life is being threatened but I assure that it will come back. I wish one day we could enjoy out ordinary life again. I wish the world could be a better place to live. Thank you so much for fighting for Korea. I really respect you and I will never forget your sacrifice. Your brave and effort will be always in our heart.
