Burial Story

Lance-Corporal Allan was a regular soldier. He had been home, in Denny, Falkirk, Scotland, for New Year 1949, before joining his unit for a posting to Hong Kong and then to Korea.  The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders were among the first British units to reinforce the Korean and US forces in August 1950.  Before joining the army, he worked in the local paper mill and was a keen angler.
