On July 14, 2008, in order to commemorate the 55th year of the cease-fire agreement of the Korean War, about 130 Canadian Veterans of the war visited the UNMCK and held a memorial ceremony and paid tribute.

Preceding the main ceremony, in accordance with Native Canadian tradition of paying tribute at sun-rise, the Canadians paid tribute to the fallen at 8 o’clock.

The main memorial ceremony started at 9 a.m. attended by the Canadian Minister of Veteran’s Ministry, the Canadian Ambassador to Korea, and about 130 Canadian veterans of the Korean War.
