UNMCK - UNITED NATIONS MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN KOREA

Dear Korean War veterans
Hello, I'm Do Hyeon Kim, living in south Korea. I'm 18 years old and I'm high school student. I'm writing this letter to appreciate your sacrifice during the Korean war. I was so touched at your brave and strong mind. Thanks to you, many Koreans could save their lives, and we could protect our country.
Nowadays, Corona virus is spreading throughout the whole world. Many people are wearing masks all day, and there are few people going around in the cities. Everyday we are living in anxiety and worries. My life also has changed a lot than before. First, I'm going to school biweekly. Because we are not allowed to gather in large groups, all students have to go to school biweekly depending on their grade. I'm so sad about this because I can't meet my friends everyday. Even though we go to school, we are not allowed to eat lunch together and we should wear masks all day. It's very stuffy and uncomfortable. During the weeks that we do not go to school, we got lessons by online class. It is something like online school. It has some advantages but also disadvantages. The advantages are that we do nat have to get up early, and as online class ends earlier thar school, we can do other studies during free time. The disadvantages are that we become negligent and we can't concentrate on school lessons. As there are nobody who are keep watching us(such as teachers), we are tend to do other things like phone games or watching youtubes.. Even though there are some advantages of going to school biweekly, I still want to go to school because I really miss my friends.
Second, I use online products a lot these days. As it is dangerous to go somewhere like shopping mall, I usually do online shopping. Online shopping was much more interesting than I thought because there were so many goods that I hadn't seen in offline shopping mall. I also use video call a lot. Through this I can meet(not actually meeting) my friends and have a fun time. Although it is little bit cumbersome, I think it has its own charms and fun.
Many people and society are working hard to overcome this tough situation. Government is exerting itself to prevent the corona virus and giving citizens a disaster support fund. It also give us condolence and encouragement so that people can get up their strength. We are working hard to prevent corona virus. We are avoiding meetings and crowding places. We wear masks wherever we go outside and do our personal hygiene toughly.
I hope this difficult situation will pass quickly and regain our original lives. I really miss the time before corona. We are going to work hard to protect korea that you protected in the past. I will never forget your sacrifice. Your brave and effort will be always in our heart. Thank you for reading this long letter, always be healthy!
