Dear, Korean War Veterans
Hello, I am Sojung Jeon and 16 years old living in Seoul, Korea.
Today is very cold. I wonder how the weather is there. I write to veterans who are too far away under the same sky on the cyber cemetery homepage. The whole world is suffering a lot from Corona 19. What is the situation in Corona in your country? I'm staying at home as long as I can because I still have to do a thorough quarantine inspection. In Korea, the delivery system is very good, so we order online and sometimes deliver food. I try not to eat out. In Korea, food delivery is very fast, so it is delivered like cooked food without cooling down. You don't have to go out. I go to school by grade. I go to school for a week, and I access the Internet for a week. So I'm sad that I can't meet my friends often. I study hard and repeat difficult studies through internet lectures. Also, I read a novel that I have never read before and do stretching exercise that I can do at home. Watching old dramas on YouTube is also very fun for me these days. I spend a lot of time at home because of Corona 19 so I am doing things that I couldn't do because I was busy. But I can't wait to finish the corona and go out freely. I have a test at school when December comes. I'm studying hard to do well on the test. It's hard to sit at my desk for a long time. But I will endure and study hard because I am a student. I will become an adult and become a great person who helps the country. To do so, I will study hard and become a smart person. Korea is very different from the past due to rapid development. I want to show you how Korea has improved.
I think the reason why I can live so comfortably is because I live in a country without war. I always thank the veterans who fought for Korea. Thanks to veterans who fought bravely in the war, they can live happily while studying. Thank you so much for saving our country from the war and for giving us peace. Without your sacrifice, Koreans will still live in fear of war. It is regrettable that it is the only divided country in the world. I hope the unification will be achieved soon. It would not have been an easy decision to fight for another country even if I had a family and a country, but I would like to thank the veterans who bravely participated in the war. I hope there will never be another war and everyone will strive for world peace. Forget the painful memories of war even after a long time. I hope you are always healthy and happy. Be happy always. I will always love you. Goodbye.
Sincerely, Jeon So Jung
