A retired Colonel Richard Dean, the Vice Chairman of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation, laid a wreath in front of the US Memorial. His father and grandfather both served in the Korean War.
After the ceremony, he visited the Wall of Remembrance to find his grandfather's name (John Raymond Lovell).
